2021 Green Chile Cheeseburger Smackdown

For seven years, we’ve been pumping out burgers and brews at the Green Chile Cheeseburger Smackdown. New Mexico’s competitive chefs have seared over 34,300 burgers for over 5,800 guests in hopes of taking home only fourteen trophies in seven years.

Thanks to our attendees and their iron stomachs, the Smackdown is one of New Mexico’s favorite annual foodie events!

Your votes will determine the People’s Choice Winner. A panel of foodie celebrities will judge the Reigning Chomp Winner. Sorry for the meat sweats, but we know you’ll want to try every burger before casting your votes.

NOTE: This year, tickets will be sold with timed entry. This will enable us to produce a more enjoyable event for all of our attendees. Although your ticket will permit you to enter at a certain time, you can stay as long as you want. Most attendees can complete their tastings in 1.5–2 hours. The event begins at 12:30pm if you opt in for VIP tickets. Timed entry for general admission is at 1:30pm, 2:15pm, or 3:00pm.

Ticket price includes a tasting of each of the seven finalists’ green chile cheeseburgers and a ballot to cast your vote to be counted toward the “People’s Choice Award.” (NO refunds, tickets ARE transferable, anyone under 21 years of age must be accompanied by someone 21+.)

Child Admission (3-12yrs) (Sold Out)

Ticket price includes a tasting of each of the seven finalists’ green chile cheeseburgers. All children must be accompanied by an adult over 21 years of age. Child will arrive during same time slot designated on the accompanying adults ticket. (no refunds, tickets are transferable)

NEW Experience for VIP TICKET holders (Sold Out)

Includes VIP Early Access Admission to the Smackdown at 12:30 PM with a special VIP section and a burger valet who will bring you your burger samples vs. you having to stand in line so you can sit back and relax and focus on determining the best burger. Dedicated staff from Santa Fe Brewing will be happy to take your beer orders (beer is not included in the price).

Event T-shirts are available for pre-order. They will not be available for purchase on site. 100% pre-shrunk combed ring-spun cotton jersey. This t‑shirt is made to have a worn in feel right out of the box. Mustard yellow color. Color may vary from online image. Sizes available: x-small, small, medium, large, XL, 3XL, 4XL. You will be able to pickup your t-shirt at the event.
