Citizen Science and the Rio Grande Phenology Trail

March 28, 2018 @ 10:00 am - 11:30 am

Phenology is the study of life cycle events in plants and animals, especially as they relate to seasonal, climatic, or other environmental factors. Santa Fe Botanical Garden is one of the sites along the Rio Grande Phenology Trail (RGPT), which connects like-minded organizations through a shared community project. By utilizing Nature’s Notebook, a citizen science observation program, RGPT partners connect with the landscapes and ecosystems they are a part of, as well as help answer local science, management, and climate questions. Come learn more about the RGPT and how citizen scientists in New Mexico are contributing to a better understanding of changes in our climate and environment!
